Welcome to an exciting and memorable year!
It is an incredible honor to serve as your President, especially as we celebrate 65 years of supporting and empowering women in business. I am truly excited to lead such an inspiring group of accomplished, passionate, and dedicated women who continue to make a difference in our community and beyond.
Over the past few years, one of the greatest joys has been watching so many incredible women connect. Some friendships and professional relationships have formed between people you might never have expected, and yet those connections have become some of the most meaningful. It is a wonderful reminder that when we bring together women with different experiences, backgrounds, and perspectives, something truly special happens.
Our meetings are about so much more than networking. They are a place where camaraderie is built, strengths are celebrated, support is freely given, and learning never stops. They are a space where we encourage one another to grow as professionals, leaders, and individuals. Every conversation, every shared experience, and every new connection help strengthen not only our members but our entire community.
As we celebrate this milestone anniversary, we also celebrate the remarkable women who came before us. For 65 years, they have created a legacy of leadership, mentorship, friendship and service that continues to inspire us today. Their vision laid the foundation for the vibrant, welcoming organization we are proud to be part of.
Whether you've been a member for many years or are joining us for the first time, I encourage you to get involved, share your ideas, and build new connections. You never know where one conversation might lead or how one introduction could change the course of your personal or professional journey.
Thank you for the confidence you've placed in me. I am truly grateful for the opportunity to serve this extraordinary group of women, and I look forward to the conversations, friendships, and unexpected connections that this year will bring.

President, Women’s Business Network of Peterborough 2026-2027
About WBN Peterborough
The Women’s Business Network of Peterborough (WBN) is a networking channel for women who wish to enhance and expand their business contacts and grow their businesses.
Formed in 1961 as the Peterborough Chapter of the Canadian Advertising and Sales Association, the network has evolved into a dynamic and growing membership of women with diverse backgrounds and careers who meet to share their knowledge and experience and promote their businesses.
Network members are entrepreneurs, business owners, professionals, administrators, writers, media representatives, computer specialists and health care providers, to name a few.
From September to June, a diverse program of learning, sharing and socializing is provided for members. Guest speakers, trade shows, special events, and gala socials make the WBN the premier network for women in the Kawarthas and surrounding areas.
